To create an e-bike for pioneers, you go back to the drawing board.
No brand knows this better than Husqvarna. They made their first bicycle in 1896.
Today, Husqvarna E-Bicycles is working with the brand and e-mobility experts at KISKA Munich and KISKA HQ. Together they have created the all-new Mountain Cross MC6. Not only is it an exceptional mountain bike design with smart features for riders, it’s the blueprint for future development.
And it does it all while fulfilling the brand’s promise: For Pioneers.
Making a statement.
“It’s super intuitive, it’s easy to ride, but doesn’t stop you when you really want to go fast.”
Michael Rieder | Lead Engineer and KISKA Munich Engineering Director
To do this, the integrated Salzburg and Munich e-bikes teams perfected the essentials and combined them with smart features and signature elements. The riding position is centred and lowered, with a higher front and adapted wheelbase for an intuitive, agile experience. More weight is focused on the front wheel for climbing grip and control. The uncovered Shimano EP8 motor and battery vents allow for passive cooling, while a hinged battery cover enables easier charging and removal. It’s all brought together with the frame’s distinctive split line. A design feature that mimics the iconic gesture of the Husqvarna Motorcycles VITPILEN.
The result: the Mountain Cross MC6 is a partner, enabler, and confidence booster. Not a beast to tame. On the e-bike, riders cycle faster, better, and more.
Extending the business.
“EUROBIKE makes it clear: e-bikes are booming, but all share the same components and sales channels. How do you differentiate? Either price or brand. We choose brand.”
Alex Thusbass | Designer and KISKA Munich Managing Director
The Mountain Cross MC6 is a design statement with progressive technology that’s a dream to ride. What’s more Husqvarna than that? And that’s exactly the point. By fulfilling the brand’s promise – For Pioneers – the Mountain Cross MC6 is a precise fit for Husqvarna E-Bicycles market of individualistic and self-assured riders.
Such differentiation doesn’t limit the business though. Husqvarna E-Bicycles is one of seven two-wheeler companies owned by leading European manufacturer PIERER Mobility. Bicycle brands Felt, GASGAS, and Raymon also call this growing “house of brands” home.
